Tengiz Tkeshelashvili is a venture capital and private equity professional with over 20 years of professional experience in corporate banking, capital markets & Treasury, Consulting and Entrepreneurship & Family Enterprises.
He spent 9 years at leading Georgian Banks, 8 years in Venture Capital and Start up environment outside Georgia, over 2 years in Management Consulting at McKinsey and Company in Germany.
His accomplishments include first ever Corporate Bond issuance in Georgia, multiple product innovations on Georgian Interbank Foreign Exchange and Derivatives Market, successful turnaround of troubled companies in Georgia and first ever Chapter 11 like reorganization of largest Georgian Electronics Retailer. In addition, he initiated, managed and executed the largest cross Border M&A transaction in Georgia, selling a Georgian enterprise for more than USD 100 million.
In Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship, he highly contributed to investing and management of promising companies in Europe, UK and Middle East. He managed over USD 300 million VC portfolio for Government of Qatar, over USD 100 million gaming and tech venture portfolio in UK and is now responsible for SpeedInvest’s (largest Austrian VC Fund and leading European Early stage financing Firm) operations across Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.
Tengiz holds Masters In Macroeconomics from professional Academy in Mosbach (Germany), MBA from INSEAD (the leading business school in the world) and is Chartered Financial Analyst at CFA institute.
